An ideal option for a couple looking for a roomy yet cozy home away from home. Virginia’s Sunset offers ocean views, high ceilings, and comfortable furnishings that let you relax into your vacation. The natural wood on the walls and ceiling hint at the cottage’s former life as a boat shop.

The cottage includes a large bedroom with king-size bed, a fully equipped galley-style kitchen, a deck with ocean views, outdoor grill and picnic table, and bathroom with walk-in shower. All linens including sheets and towels are provided.

Ocean breezes and a ceiling fan keep you cool in summer and a heater is available for cooler autumn evenings. HD Smart TV and high-speed wifi help you stay connected.

Virginia’s Sunset is the ideal spot to relax and enjoy the tranquility and stunning sunsets on the “Quiet Side” of Mount Desert Island.

Amenities

Of course the greatest amenity we offer is the ocean view. Adirondack chairs and picnic tables are set up around the property so you can enjoy the scenery both from the meadow and from the rocky ledges at the shore. Your home away from home also includes:

Housekeeping — the cottages are cleaned before you arrive; no cleaning is required when you leave other than washing any dishes you may have used
